Show and tell

Speaking up about what God is doing

Telling our news

When my family are all together around the dinner table we like to share our news with one another and tell what we have done during the day. In order that everyone does not talk at once we take it in turns.

In school the youngest children do something similar. They have what they call a “show and tell time”. Basically that means a time is set aside when each child can show something to the class or tell about something that they want everyone to hear.

In the church we have much to show and tell. The author of Psalm 66 says (v5), “Come and see what God has done, how awesome are His works on man’s behalf” and (v16) “come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.”

A challenge to you

I would like to challenge you this week to “show and tell” what God has done for you. Will you commit yourself to share with one Christian what God has been doing in your life to encourage them and build them up and to share with one non-Christian, to show them that God is involved in your life today?
