Work, rest and play

A change is not a rest

Whatever you do

We have looked before at the subject of "what is work?" and I suggested that the verse from Colossians ch3 v 23, “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart" indicated to us that whatever we do is work of a kind. So how do we rest from work?

I noted this week that someone from my church was e-mailing me about something we are trying to organise at church during their lunch hour from work. "When do you get a rest?" I asked.

Rest

Changing from one busy mode of work to another is not rest! Make sure you take some proper rest during your work time. Ten minutes of doing nothing, maybe even with your eyes closed, will help your work time tremendously. You can work much better with "all your heart" if you are not dying on your feet.
